Designed and delivered a back-office platform covering HR, payroll, document management, approvals, and operational analytics for a growing tech consultancy.

The Challenge

Byte Innovations was managing HR, payroll, approvals, and document workflows across disconnected tools and manual processes. As the team grew past 30 people, the inefficiency became an operational risk. Payroll runs were error-prone, HR records were scattered, and approval workflows for leave, expenses, and procurement had no standardization. Management lacked reliable data to make informed decisions about headcount, costs, or project resourcing.

The Solution

Augmex built a modular back-office platform tailored to Byte Innovations' workflows. The HR module handled employee records, onboarding checklists, leave management, and performance review cycles. Payroll processing used configurable rules for allowances, deductions, and tax calculations. A document management layer gave teams a centralized repository with version control and role-based access. Approval workflows were standardized across leave requests, expense claims, and procurement. An analytics dashboard gave leadership visibility into headcount, payroll costs, leave patterns, and project staffing.
