The Challenge
PeonPay needed to turn a cross-border payment concept into a mobile product for the UAE market. A transfer begins long before money moves: users need to verify their identity, add a beneficiary, understand the exchange rate, and follow the transaction. PeonPay also needed integration points for regional banking systems and an architecture that could preserve a clear record of sensitive actions. The challenge was to keep those controls visible without making the app difficult to use.
The Solution
Augmex assembled an 8-person team covering mobile development, backend engineering, design, quality assurance, DevOps, and project management. The React Native app is supported by a Node.js backend and API integrations. The current product scope includes biometric login, identity verification, beneficiary management, exchange-rate handling, multi-currency transfers, transfer status updates, scheduled transfers, recurring payments, and fraud-monitoring workflows. The project is ongoing, so this case study reports the delivery scope rather than unverified transaction or adoption results.
