Built a multi-tenant AI chatbot builder platform from Scale MVP to a full live SaaS product, enabling businesses to configure, train, and deploy custom AI assistants with RAG-powered responses and no-code setup.

The Challenge

The client needed a production-grade, multi-tenant SaaS platform where businesses could create and deploy AI-powered chatbots trained on their own data, without writing code. The core technical challenges were building a robust RAG pipeline capable of ingesting diverse document formats, designing a secure multi-tenant architecture where each tenant's data remained fully isolated, and delivering a no-code configuration UI that non-technical users could operate confidently. The product also needed a white-label capability so customers could embed their chatbot across their own web properties under a custom domain.

The Solution

Augmex delivered the platform across a two-month Scale MVP engagement. The backend was built on a FastAPI and PostgreSQL foundation with strict tenant isolation at the data layer. A RAG pipeline was implemented using LangChain and a vector database, enabling each chatbot to answer queries from the tenant's uploaded documents with source attribution. The no-code UI allowed tenants to upload knowledge base content, configure bot behavior, set escalation rules, and customize branding without technical support. An embeddable widget was built for deployment on any website via a single script tag. After launch, the platform grew into a commercial SaaS product with customers across multiple sectors.
